The brief was to design something that solved a problem. Now the inventive spirit of the entrants is being truly tested and their projects scrutinised against the judging criteria. Their practicality, sustainable design and commercial viability are all under scrutiny.
Up to 180 entries will then go through to the next round of judging – this time by Dyson engineers. The International Winner will be announced by James Dyson on 5th of October.
