To solve the 21st Century challenges of sustainability, housing and an ageing population we need more engineers. James Dyson set up the Foundation in 2002 to support design and engineering education.

The James Dyson Foundation aims to inspire young people to study engineering and become engineers.

As the Foundation grows, we are expanding our education work internationally. We will also continue to support medical and scientific research, through partnerships, with charities across the world.
